Sand being demanded for the production of glass has to meet the most challenging requirements concerning its quality. Even with different grain sizes the degree of purity is the most crucial factor for a sand of high quality. Therefore the processing plant has to guarantee both an effective sorting and seperation of contaminating light material and other impurities. At the same time it has to guarantee the loss of sand stays low while iron particles and other heavy metals are kept at a minimum. Here a flexible device is needed that allows adjustment to different grain sizes and works reliably.
